We Will Provide  All Necessary Security Support You Need;  Edo ESSC Tells CPC

The Edo State Security Corps has Assured The chairman And members of the Edo State Consumer protection committee of Adequate Security support Anytime it is called upon by the committee 

The state Commander Richard Balogun made the pledge in his office when the Consumer protection committee led by it's chairman comrade osaro Iyamu culture paid him an official visit at the State command in Benin city.

He assured the committee of  a Stand By Squad anytime the committee  will be Going out for enforcement 

Earlier,  the chairman of the committee who had asked for adequate security protection from the agency during enforcement by the committee members to eliminate the state of substandard and fake products from Edo State.
He Stated that Edo people were dieing from fake products and chemically induced goods

Those in the entourage of the state chairman included Mrs osaghae sweet oghogho coordinator Edo South,mr Eshesima Sunday Coordinator Edo North and other other members of the committee

The Edo State High Court has declared unlawful the restriction of human and vehicular movement during the state’s environmental sanitation exercise, in a landmark judgment delivered on Thursday. Justice Isoken Urhomwen Erameh ruled that the enforcement of a stay-at-home order between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on sanitation days violates citizens’ constitutional rights. In its decision, the court held that such restrictions are inconsistent with Section 41(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, which guarantees freedom of movement. It further found the measures to be in breach of Articles 12 and 13 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Justice Erameh consequently issued a declaration that the prohibition of movement during the sanitation period is unlawful and unconstitutional. EDO STATE  CONSUMER PROTECTION   COMMITTEE (CPC) GRANTS TWO WEEKS GRACE PERIOD TO DISPOSE SACHETS GIN Today, the Management Committee of Edo State Consumer Protection Committee received in audience, the representatives of United Beverages Dealers Association and Edo State Sachet Alcohol Beverages Distributors Association. During the meeting, the representatives jointly requested an extension from 7th September to 30th December, 2026 to enable them sell off existing stock of sachet gin in their custody, citing various factors. After extensive deliberation and consultations, the Management Committee hereby rules as follows: 1.  That the Committee remains committed to protecting the rights of consumers and promoting product standards in line with NAFDAC directives. 2.  That the appeal for extension is PARTIALLY GRANTED. Suspected Cultists Attack  Odionwere, Elders, Okaighele In Obazuwa Community  Not less than twenty suspected cultists led by the former Okaighele, Odaro Peace Ibizugbe, of Obazuwa Community in the Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State,off the upper  Ekenwan road,  weekend  attacked the Odionwere, elders and the present Okaighele of the community. Odaro and his group of boys were said to have invaded the community with guns, battle axes and different weapons.
