The E do State chapter of “RELAX Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria”, an advocacy group supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has announced plans to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The state coordinator of the group, Hon. Patrick Idiake, said RELAX would focus on taking information about the Tinubu administration’s policies and programmes to communities across the country, particularly at the grassroots. Idiake said the group believed some of the administration’s initiatives and achievements had not received adequate publicity, adding that RELAX would work to improve awareness of the government’s programmes among citizens. In continuation of its ongoing engagements with relevant Government Authorities and Stakeholders, the Chairman of Edo State Consumer Protection Committee (Edo CPC), Mr. Iyamu Osaro Culture and members of his committee has paid separate courtesy visits to the Management of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Benin Network Centre and Speed FM, Benin, to seek their support towards regular coverage of its activities, with a view to tackling factors associated with counterfeit products and exploitation of consumers by private sector operators. During the visits, the Chairman highlighted the mandates of the Committee, which range from protecting consumer rights to enforcing standards and ensuring value for money. EDO STATE  CONSUMER PROTECTION   COMMITTEE (CPC) GRANTS TWO WEEKS GRACE PERIOD TO DISPOSE SACHETS GIN Today, the Management Committee of Edo State Consumer Protection Committee received in audience, the representatives of United Beverages Dealers Association and Edo State Sachet Alcohol Beverages Distributors Association. During the meeting, the representatives jointly requested an extension from 7th September to 30th December, 2026 to enable them sell off existing stock of sachet gin in their custody, citing various factors.
