CPC needs everyone to succeed – chairman The commissioner of police, Edo State, Patrick Daaor says he has instructed the deputy commissioner of police, (operations) to urgently order Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, DPOs to mobilize men of the command to ensure tight security for the personnel of the newly inaugurated members of the consumers protection committee, CPC. He said the current state of substandard products in circulation calls for urgent attention that should be supported by all meaning citizens of the state. Okpebholo Inaugurates Four Boards, Charges Members On Integrity, Service Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has inaugurated four government boards and committees, charging their members to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, humility and commitment to public service. The inaugurated bodies are the Consumer Protection Committee,  the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board,  and the Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency (RARA). This is to inform the General Public, especially sellers, dealers, distributors and manufacturers of Sachet Gin that the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control - NAFDAC has banned the production, sale and consumption of Sachet Gin nationwide due to its danger to human health. In line with this directive, NAFDAC has ordered a total mop-up and withdrawal of all Sachet Gin from production centers and markets across the country. In view of the above, the Edo State Consumer Protection Committee hereby directs as follows: 1.  All sellers, dealers and manufacturers of Sachet Gin in Edo State should immediately withdraw and dispose of all Sachet Gin in their custody within 7 days of this notice. 2.  Failure to comply with this directive will attract penalties, seizure and prosecution in line with relevant laws. 3.  Taskforce teams will commence full enforcement and...
