EDO STATE CONSUMER PROTECTION
Today, the Management Committee of Edo State Consumer Protection Committee received in audience, the representatives of United Beverages Dealers Association and Edo State Sachet Alcohol Beverages Distributors Association.
During the meeting, the representatives jointly requested an extension from 7th September to 30th December, 2026 to enable them sell off existing stock of sachet gin in their custody, citing various factors.

3. That within this grace period, no dealer or individual is permitted to resell sachet gin products in their custody. Products must only be returned.
4. That no person or group is permitted to harass dealers of sachet gin within the approved extension period.
5. That full-scale enforcement and compliance operations will commence on 21st September, 2026 across the 18 LGAs of Edo State.
The Committee urges all dealers to take advantage of this window to comply. Consumer safety remains Their priority.
