The leadership and entire members of AIGUOBASINMWIN MOVEMENT WORLD-WIDE have observed with dismay the rising threats, intimidation, and instigation of violence targeted at our daughter, *Rt. Hon. Omosede Igbinedion*, Member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

We have noted that these attacks stem from her principled stance and refusal to lend support to the proposed imaginary "Toru Ebe State" and the planned delineation of wards in Ovia North East and Ovia South West Local Government Areas that are not in the best interest of the indigenous people of Ovia.

Let it be on record that the Ijaw communities residing in the riverine areas of Edo State have enjoyed decades of peace, hospitality, and magnanimity from the good people of Edo State. We urge them not to take our peaceful disposition for granted.

For the records, Rt. Hon. Omosede Igbinedion has allayed every doubt and concern we had. Today, she has proven to be a true daughter of Ovia who is standing firmly for the interest of her people. She is doing exactly what her constituents elected her to do.

Therefore, we warn that any individual or group, whether indigenes or residents like the Ijaws, who are insisting that she will not be re-elected are only dreaming. 

In fact, because of these unprovoked and constant attacks against her, AIGUOBASINMWIN MOVEMENT WORLD-WIDE will stand more resolutely with her and will work assiduously towards ensuring her re-emergence in 2027.

We call on security agencies to take note and ensure that the peace of Ovia Federal Constituency is not disrupted by any group. We remain committed to peace, justice, and equity for all.

The Edo State High Court has declared unlawful the restriction of human and vehicular movement during the state’s environmental sanitation exercise, in a landmark judgment delivered on Thursday. Justice Isoken Urhomwen Erameh ruled that the enforcement of a stay-at-home order between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on sanitation days violates citizens’ constitutional rights. In its decision, the court held that such restrictions are inconsistent with Section 41(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, which guarantees freedom of movement. It further found the measures to be in breach of Articles 12 and 13 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Suspected Cultists Attack  Odionwere, Elders, Okaighele In Obazuwa Community  Not less than twenty suspected cultists led by the former Okaighele, Odaro Peace Ibizugbe, of Obazuwa Community in the Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State,off the upper  Ekenwan road,  weekend  attacked the Odionwere, elders and the present Okaighele of the community. Odaro and his group of boys were said to have invaded the community with guns, battle axes and different weapons. Okpebholo Threatens Death Warrant for Criminals, Rewards Police Over Vegetable Market Kidnap Arrest Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo has issued a blunt warning to criminals operating in the state: those who persist in crime will face prosecution, and he will personally sign their execution warrant. Okpebholo made the declaration on Thursday during a parade of suspects at the Edo State Police Command headquarters in Benin City, where he also rewarded officers who arrested a suspect linked to Sunday's kidnapping at the Vegetable Market.
