*IKHILOR RALLIES EDO APC: '2.5M VOTES FOR TINUBU, OKPEBHOLO IS DELIVERING'*

Okoduwa Solomon commends SSG Musa Ikhilor Esq for his open door policy, selflessness, and dedication to service. Using Eid al-Adha to host neighbors, the Arewa community, and party leaders, the SSG showed Edo that leadership is about being one of the people. That same spirit is what is advancing Governor Monday Okpebholo’s “Project 2.5” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. When leaders eat with the people, they can also mobilize the people.
Irrua didn’t just celebrate Eid-al-Adha. For 48 hours, the hometown of SSG Musa Ikhilor Esq became the nerve center of Edo APC’s 2027 strategy.
*Day 1: Unity at the grassroots*
On May 27, Ikhilor opened his doors to neighbors, the Arewa community, and the wider Muslim Ummah. Sallah meat, words of gratitude, and one clear message: “No one gets left behind.” It was a reminder that governance starts at the gate, not in Government House.
*Day 2: Mobilization at the top*
May 28, he hosted the engine room — commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, ward chairmen, party leaders, and key officials. No long speeches. Just a marching order: go back to your wards, your units, your streets. The Continuous Voters Registration is on. Every unregistered voter is a vote Tinubu can’t count.
“Let us continue to sensitize people on the need to get registered,” Ikhilor told them. “We are mobilizing as officials and moving around our communities to encourage people that have not registered. Asiwaju is satisfied, and his 2.5 million votes is sure in Edo State.”
*Why Edo believes 2.5M is possible: The Okpebholo record*
Ikhilor tied the mobilization directly to performance. Under Governor Monday Okpebholo, Edo people are feeling governance again:
- *Food security with dignity*: Sallah, Christmas, Easter — food items have reached all 3 senatorial districts every festive period. Not politics, just people.
- *Infrastructure across 18 LGAs*: Roads, schools, hospitals, water projects. “All the 18 local governments are feeling the positive impact,” said Hon. Bawa of the Arewa Community.
- *Human capacity development*: Appointments, skills programs, and specialist healthcare upgrades that put Esan land and Edo State on the map.
“We thank God for what God is using the governor to do,” Ikhilor said. “I have been praised today, but all thanks to Governor Monday Okpebholo. Without him, none of this would be possible.”
*The party responds*
Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Felix Akhabue called Ikhilor the blueprint: “The SSG is a unifier. This is the third time I’m attending this kind of gathering in Benin and Irrua. The governor can’t be everywhere. SSG is one of his strong foot soldiers ensuring the dividends of democracy reach Edo people.”
APC Leader in Edo Central, William Shaka Momodu, was direct: “We are gathered here because the SSG is enabling the governor to achieve his electioneering promises. This is how you turn promises into votes.”
From Commissioner Bisi Idaomi to Rt Hon Festus Ebea, from Edoline to Edo Waste Management Board, the room was united — commissioners, security chiefs, CMD ISTH, CPS Dr Patrick Ebojele. The message was the same.
*The charge from Irrua to every ward*
Eid brought families together. Ikhilor is using that spirit to bring voters together. Register now. Mobilize now. Deliver 2.5 million for Tinubu in 2027.
