AM MORE EXPERIENCED AND BETTER SUITED TO REPRESENT EDO SOUTH IN THE SENATE - OGBEIDE IHAMA



Hon Ogbeide Ihama,  an aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for Edo South Senatorial District has appealed to the leaders in the Senatorial District to give him the ticket as he is the most qualified and experienced to represent Edo South in the Red chamber. 

He made the appeal when he visited the leadership of the party in Edo South Senatorial District where he declared his intention to run for the Senatorial ticket in Benin city.

Ogbeide Ihama said all of them contesting for the ticket are qualified but he feels more experienced and qualified haven been a member of the House of Representatives twice, he is most qualified to represent the people of Edo South in the Senate and appealed that the ticket should not be used as " Try your luck".

"The Senate carries out legislative business and it takes experience and capacity to be a Senator as legislative business should not be left in the hands of a new comer as we need more Senatorial dividends."

"A Senator should be one that can navigate the politics of Edo South.I have come to represent a generation yeaning for purposeful leadership and as a vibrant youth, I know the pains of both the youth and elderly, so, we must look at ability and capacity. "

"As a youth, I still have the strength and energy to champion the cause of the seven local government areas that make up Edo South Senatorial District."

Highlighting his achievements as house of representative member, he said he was able to provide solar powered streets lights, bought vehicles to empower people of his Constituency stating that he is still willing to extend it to the seven local government areas.

Earlier in his address, the Edo South Senatorial District leader and former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon Pius Odubu advised that the election should be seen as a family affair and that though there are several people contesting for the ticket, at the end, only one person will get it. 

He therefore appealed to Hon Ogbeide Ihama to go about his campaign in a peaceful
