*_EGOR APC YOUTH LEADERS HELD INTERACTIVE SESSIONS WITH CHIEF OSAHON AIRHUNMWUNDE OVER HIS STATE ASSEMBLY ASPIRATION_*  

APC youth leaders and their deputies across the ten wards in Egor Local Government, led by the LGA Youth Leader Mr Eric Imariagbe popularly known as Baroko paid a solidarity visit to Chief Osahon John Airhunmwunde, and call for support for his aspiration to the Edo State House of Assembly.

During the interactive session, the Forum of Youth leaders praised his dedication to the party and contributions to Governor Monday Okpebholo’s electoral success, with the LGA Youth Leader Eric Imariagbe (Baroko) describing him as a beacon of hope, citing his grassroots impact and support during the 2024 campaign.

In response, Airhunmwunde thanked the youths and reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, youth inclusion, and meaningful development in Egor if given the mandate.

The visit reflects growing unity and confidence in his candidacy.

The Edo State High Court has declared unlawful the restriction of human and vehicular movement during the state’s environmental sanitation exercise, in a landmark judgment delivered on Thursday. Justice Isoken Urhomwen Erameh ruled that the enforcement of a stay-at-home order between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on sanitation days violates citizens’ constitutional rights. In its decision, the court held that such restrictions are inconsistent with Section 41(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, which guarantees freedom of movement. It further found the measures to be in breach of Articles 12 and 13 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Justice Erameh consequently issued a declaration that the prohibition of movement during the sanitation period is unlawful and unconstitutional. Supreme Court Dismisses Petition Challenging Edo Governorship Election The Supreme Court has ruled that the petitioners seeking to nullify the Edo State governorship election failed to substantiate their claims. Delivering its verdict on Thursday, the apex court held that since the petitioners did not challenge results from all the polling units across the state, it was “absurd” to demand the nullification of the entire election and to be declared winners. The court further stated that the appellants failed to call witnesses or tender admissible evidence to prove irregularities in the disputed polling units. With this ruling, the Supreme Court has affirmed the outcome of the election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
