Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has approved the immediate reinstatement of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma staff who were unlawfully dismissed by the defunct Special Intervention Team (S.I.T.) in March 2023 during former Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration. In a statement issued by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Secretary to the State Government, it was noted that the affected staff, who were members of the Academic Staff Union, were unjustly terminated following their demands for overdue salaries and benefits owed by the previous administration. Governor Okpebholo’s government is committed to the principles of natural justice, equity, and good conscience, aiming to rectify any injustices faced by the citizens of Edo State. This decision to reinstate the staff underscores His Excellency’s unwavering dedication to upholding the rule of law in governance at all times.
