The Federal High Court, Abuja Division has issued form 49 against Engr. Mavilious Omobayo, the imposed deputy governor by Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The Court issued the Form 49 given AN ORDER COMMITTING ENGR. MARVELLOUS OMOBAYO GODWINS to Prison for having disobeyed the Order of this Honorable Court made on 17th July, 2024 to wit: (1) THAT A DECLARATION OF THIS HONOURABLE COURT is Hereby Made that within the meaning and/or intendment of the provision of Section 188(5), (6), (7)(e), (b), (8), (9) & (11) read together with Section 36(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), the Plaintiff's action of filing a suit at the Federal High Court Abuja.

Breaking: Edo Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu Served Impeachment Notice As Edo State House of Assembly Commences Impeachment Process

The Edo House of Assembly on Wednesday commenced impeachment proceedings against the state Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu. The Majority leader, Charity Aiguobarueghian, who announced the impeachment notice during plenary, said the petition dated March 5, was signed by 21 out of the 24 members against the deputy governor. Aiguobarueghian stated, “The petition against the deputy governor came in on March 5 and was signed by 21 out of the 24 members. The number of members who signed the petition was more than the two-third requirement stipulated in the constitution.” He also said that the petition was based on two grounds perjury and revealing of government secrets. The speaker of the House, Blessing Agbebaku who acknowledged receipt of the petition, directed the Clerk of the House, Yahaya Omogbai, to serve Shaibu the impeachment notice. Breaking: Edo 2024 - Federal High Court Abuja Nullify PDP Primary

By Editor  Federal High Court Nullifies PDP Governorship Primaries in Edo State. In a significant ruling today, the Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Ekwo, declared that the PDP nomination processes were non-compliant with its own constitution. As a result, the court has set aside all processes leading to the Edo PDP governorship primaries held on February 22nd, 2024. The court's decision means that the PDP has no candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election on September 21st in Edo State.
