EDO NATIONAL VOICE (ENV) Has Called In The Leader Of The People's Democratic Party To Call Governor Obaseki To Order This Was Contained In A Press Statement Issued By The Group In Benin City . The Press Statement States As Follows

The Leadership and Stakeholders of PEOPLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY Must Call Governor Obaseki To Order

It is often said that when a purpose of an action is not always define, abuse becomes inevitable so liken to the continuous sacrilegious plans being perpetuated by Mr. Governor Obaseki against our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom. It is a known fact that an average Edo man and woman are aware of how Governor Obaseki has been using his power to undermining the authority of our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom over his inability to take custody of our returned stolen Artefacts. Most worrisome is that he has been withholding the monthly statutory allocations of Benin Traditional Council and planned to utilize part of it for the funding of parallel local government traditional councils across the 7 Local Government Area that made up Benin Kingdom which has never been in existence since the creation of Benin Empire that was eventually renamed as Benin Kingdom after the Portuguese invaded Benin Empire with the aide of a well known enemy of our revered Kingdom.

Secondly, it is no longer news that Governor Obaseki is engineering and considering to grant  traditional rulers for Ijaws in the 5 Clans where we gave them as tenant in Ovia North East and South West. Thus, having such plans in mind is desecration of our sacred/revered Throne and Kingdom, while planning to execute it, will no doubt lead to ethnic crisis.

Consequently upon the above, it has become imperative to inundate the leadership and stakeholders of PDP of how Governor Obaseki has been abusing the mandate/power given to him while using same to undermining the authority of our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom which we considered as abomination and sacrilegious in our dear state. Hence, the need why Governor Obaseki must be call to order to apply brake, leave traditional matters and focus on governance rather than embarking on journey that will further plunge our dear state into unwanted turmoil.

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has announced Barr. Musa U. Ikhilor as Secretary to State Government (SSG); Hon. Samson Osagie PhD as Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice; and Dr Cyril Adams Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health. The nomination of Osagie and Oshiomhole will be confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly when they are forwarded soon by Governor Okpebholo. Barr. Ikhilor was born on the 6th of August 1980 at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo State. Barr.
