Senator Monday Okpebholo, the executive governor of Edo State, has inaugurated the Local Government Service Commission, with Chief Emma Iyase (Ihaza N'udo) as a member. The inauguration ceremony marked a significant milestone in the efforts to strengthen the local government system in Edo State.

While inaugurating the commission, Senator Okpebholo charged the members to be worthy ambassadors of the state. He tasked them to use their office to affect the state positively, by promoting good governance, transparency, and accountability.

Senator Monday Okpebholo emphasized the importance of the local government system in delivering essential services to the people. He noted that the commission has a critical role to play in ensuring that the local government system is effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the people.

Chief Emma Iyase (Ihaza N'udo) and other members of the commission pledged to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in them. They promised to be guided by the principles of fairness, justice, and equity in the discharge of their duties.
