Obaseki Has Scammed Edo People With Unrealistic Expectations And Promises - Ex - PDP BOT Member Charles Idahosa As He Returns To APC

Benin City, Edo State - In a major political development, Hon. Charles Idahosa, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, has announced his defection back to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday.
Idahosa, who resigned from his position and the PDP last week, expressed deep regret over his previous support for Governor Godwin Obaseki, stating that the governor has "scammed Edo people with unrealistic expectations and promises."
Speaking at a press conference in Benin City, the former PDP chieftain warned that the possibility of Obaseki and the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo, winning the September 21st governorship election would be "the greatest misfortune that could befall Edo State."
"I made a mistake in supporting Obaseki, and I regret it. He has failed to deliver on his promises to the people of Edo State, and I cannot be part of that anymore," Idahosa said.
The ex-BoT member urged the APC not to rely on "federal might" to win the election, but rather to work together as a united party to return the state to the APC fold. He emphasized the importance of party unity and called for a collective effort to ensure victory in the forthcoming election.
Idahosa's defection is a significant boost to the APC's campaign, as he brings with him a wealth of experience and influence in Edo State politics. His return to the party is seen as a major setback for the PDP, which had hoped to retain its hold on the state.
The Edo governorship election is shaping up to be a closely contested battle between the APC and the PDP, with both sides engaged in intense campaign activities across the state. The outcome of the election could have far-reaching implications for the political landscape of the state and the country as a whole.
