Igue festival : Chris ogiemwonyi Congratulates Oba Of Benin

A front line aspirant of The APC Engr. Chris ogiemwonyi , has congratulated the Benin Monarch, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, on the celebration of the annual Igue Festival.

In a statement issued in Benin City on  Monday Ogiemwonyi said: “On behalf of Him And His Family And ogiemwonyi Campaign Organisation  I congratulate the Omo N’ Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, and all Benin people and our friends on the annual Igue Festival celebration. 

Chris ogiemwonyi who recalled the nemerous achievement recorded by the monarch since ascending the throne of his forefathers including the return of some of Benin artifacts with more still to come.

“He said It is his  prayer that the new year brings forth more blessings and a stronger bond between the Royal House and the Benin Kingdom And Prayed for continued Peace and Progress in the state

Engr Chris ogiemwonyi  wished the Benin Monarch “a glorious celebration, excellent health and the divine wisdom to continue to lead our people to greatness.”

This year’s Igue Festival will begin today Tuesday 19th December 2023  as all chiefs will be at the palace of the Oba of Benin to pay homage.

The high profile festival will be rounded off on December 31st.

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has announced Barr. Musa U. Ikhilor as Secretary to State Government (SSG); Hon. Samson Osagie PhD as Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice; and Dr Cyril Adams Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health. The nomination of Osagie and Oshiomhole will be confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly when they are forwarded soon by Governor Okpebholo. Barr. Ikhilor was born on the 6th of August 1980 at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo State. Barr.
