Edo State APC Suspend State Publicity Secretary For Anti party Activities

*Edo APC sack State Publicity Secretary Peter Uwadiae for anti-party activities and incompetence

The Orhionmwon Local Government Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has concurred with the decision of Ugbeka Ward 3 to suspend the membership of Barr. Peter Uwadiae Igbinigie who before now served as the Publicity Secretary of APC in Edo State.

In two separate letters sighted by this medium, 25 out of the 27 Executive Committee members of his ward suspended him on allegations of anti-party activities, non remittance of dues to the ward, incompetence in his assigned duties and others.

In a concurrent letter signed by 21 of the 27 Local Government Area Executive Committee members and 11 of the 12 Ward Chairmen in the Local Government Area, the party agreed that the Ward Executive had fulfilled the party's constitutional requirements and were in order. 

The party in the Local Government have requested the State Executive Committee to excuse Barr. Peter Uwadiae Igbinigie from his ranks to avoid a breach of the party's constitution as the suspended State Publicity Secretary can no longer act in that capacity having been suspended from the party by his ward.

In the interim, the Assistant State Publicity is expected to assume duties as the Acting State Publicity Secretary pending the report of the Disciplinary Committee set up by Ugbeka Ward 3 to investigate the allegations.

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has announced Barr. Musa U. Ikhilor as Secretary to State Government (SSG); Hon. Samson Osagie PhD as Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice; and Dr Cyril Adams Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health. The nomination of Osagie and Oshiomhole will be confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly when they are forwarded soon by Governor Okpebholo. Barr.
