7th Year Coronation Anniversary Group Gives Free Medical Treatment To Edo Indigienes

The Palace of the Oba of Benin, His ROYAL MAJESTY,

OMO N'OBA N'EDO UKU, AKPOLOKPOLO, EWUARE II, CFR, OBA OF BENIN, was yesterday field to capacity with people surfing from different ailments to receive a two days free Medical Service put together by The  group Known As  Edo National Voice (ENV) And Benin Doctors Forum (BDF)

The two days medical outreach which is opened for all those that leaved within the state and outside Edo State. is taking place at the palace of the Oba of Benin.  

Speaking with newsmen on the essence of the free medical exercise, President Benin Doctors Forum Worldwide, (BDFW) Doctor Ovenseri Ogbeide Eghosasere, said the medical outreach was being organized in honored of the revered Benin monarch to mark his seventh Coronation anniversary.

Dr Ogbeide stated that the free medical services was going to be a complete total healthcare, which includes Eye condition, Dental condition, Mental condition free surgerys for women with Fibroid Mehotomy men with Prostate condition and general check up.

"We have noticed there's a need, an health need for our people and we want to also play our parts in other for people to meet up to the needs".

He said the healthcare is a total healthcare that encompasses both the elderly to the young and added that they also have a program that carter for younger ones, "just now, we just booked a patient who's circumcision was not properly done right. So, tomorrow we're going to be correcting that surgery for the 3 year old baby so it cut across all ages so there's no age to this program he said".

"We're going to be giving out over 100 free medical glasses free drugs for all kinds of ailments and also carried out eye surgery and others".

Also speaking, the president Edo National Voice (ENV) Iyamu Osaro Culture, said the project was done in conjunction with the Benin Doctors Forum Worldwide in commemoration of the seventh anniversary of the Oba of Benin Kingdom.

Iyamu said the healthcare program varies from different sickness Malaria, Eye problem, Tooth pain, Apathetic  and many more.

"As we speak those who are facing health problem challenges are already been diagnosed some are already been treated while some are still awaiting medical response.

"As a way of adding value and creating impact to the seventh coronation anniversary of the great Oba of Benin, we thought it wise to add another color to the coronation and we also observed year in year out whenever our Oba celebrating either birthday coronation such program is not being embedded in the entire program of the palace hence the reason".

Some of the patients who spoke to journalists after receiving medical treatment were full of praises to the Oba and the organizers of the medical outreach for a job well done. The seventh Coronation comes up on Friday 20th October,2023.
