EDO NATIONAL VIOCE (ENV) Has Again Issued A Press Statement In Benin Condemning The Actions Of  Governor Obaseki Stating  His Actions As Sacrilegious.                  The statement Which Was Issued In Benin City The Edo State Capital States As Follows.

Godwin Obaseki Can't Eat His Cake and Have It.

It could be recalled that for the past 4 months we have been raising alarms over Godwin Obaseki deliberate intentions to press further his sacrilegious plans against our revered THRONE and BENIN KINGDOM due to his inability to take custody of our returned stolen Artefacts which originally belong to our great Oba of Benin Kingdom as gazzeted by Federal Government on the 28th of March 2023. This landmark development prompted Godwin Obaseki to withheld 1 year Benin Traditional Council Statutory Allocations and engineered few former Enigies led by Gregory Akenzua to draft a letter and forwarded same to him suggesting the creation of local government traditional councils across the 7 Local Government Area that made up of the great BENIN KINGDOM which is totally against the culture, custom, heritage and tradition of our dear rich land. Therefore, arising from the meeting Godwin Obaseki held with few suspended and some serving Enigies on the 24th of August, 2023(Yesterday), it is imperative to state as follows:

(1) That Godwin Obaseki has once denied his involvement with the letter drafted by few former Enigies that were suspended by their Maker who is our great Oba of Benin Kingdom 

(2) That for Godwin Obaseki to held a meeting with few former Enigies that were suspended over 3 months ago by their Maker who is our great Oba of Benin Kingdom is a pointer to the fact that Obaseki is fighting the entire Benin race.

(3) That the few former Enigies who were suspended by our great Oba of Benin Kingdom and some serving Enigies are betrayals and traitors and they must be suspended and their punishment must be melted on Them.

(4) That it is a known fact that our great Oba of Benin Kingdom can't and will not hold meeting with Godwin Obaseki Commissioners especially the defiant ones that he sacked or suspended. Therefore, for Godwin Obaseki to held a meeting with few of the suspended Enigies and some serving Enigies without the consent of their Maker who is our great Oba of Benin Kingdom is sacrilegious, rebellious and an act of betrayal.

(5) That with the character exhibited by Godwin Obaseki, he has successfully suspended the positions/titles of some defiant Enigies because our great King who made them can't work with them anymore and by extension they are now the newest Godwin Obaseki Aides on village matters.

(6) That we are calling on all the true Sons and Daughters of great Benin Kingdom to rise against this rebellious and sacrilegious attitudes of Godwin Obaseki and his newest Aides who were with him at Government House yesterday (some defiant Enigies who we recommended for suspension).

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has announced Barr. Musa U. Ikhilor as Secretary to State Government (SSG); Hon. Samson Osagie PhD as Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice; and Dr Cyril Adams Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health. The nomination of Osagie and Oshiomhole will be confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly when they are forwarded soon by Governor Okpebholo. Barr.
