Release Edo NG CARES Fund Phase 2 To Beneficiaries Watchdog For Good Governance (WFGG) Call On Governor Obaseki

A Non Governmental organization Watchdog For Good Governance Has Called On Governor Obaseki To Prevail On Edo Jobs To Release Funds Meant For Edo NG CARES Phase 2  Beneficiaries .The Statement Made Available To Journalist In Benin States As follows

The Executive and entire members of WATCHDOG FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE wishes to draw the attention of Governor Obaseki to the delay tactics being employed by the Management of EdoJob towards the disbursement of the funds meant for the Beneficiaries who applied for the Phase-2 of Edo NG-CARES GRANT.

It could be recalled that in early April 2023, the Management of EdoJob publicly requested the participation of interested business owners to apply for the Phase-2 of the Edo NG-CARES GRANT wherein a lot of applicants were shortlisted and charged to proceed for vetting and M&E exercises.

Sadly, after the vetting and M&E exercises were concluded which is running into almost 10 weeks now, nothing has been said about the exercise/programme nor to release funds for those who scaled through the vetting and M&E exercises which is a departure from the phase1 that was implemented last year.

To this end, we want to appeal to Governor Obaseki to expressly mandate the Management of EdoJob to release the funds meant for the Phase-2 of Edo NG-CARES GRANT Beneficiary.

The Statement Was Signed By

Samuel Eguavoen- Acting Coordinator General

Aisha Zekeri- Assistance Secretary and Director of Public Complaints.
